Who Was Marie Curie?

Marie Curie, born in Warsaw, (November 7, 1867), died in Passy, France (July 4, 1934)

Marie Curie is the first woman to teach at the prestigious University of Paris.

Although she is best known for her work in radioactivity and her discovery, together with her husband Pierre Curie, of radium, Marie Curie is also credited for discovering the element polonium.
